RCA RT2400 Receiver Won't stay on

Hi,
my unit will initially power on to display mode, the scrolling marquee. When selecting DVD or SAT or anything else it blinks DVD or SAT a few times and clicks to standby with the red light.
Does any one know what is wrong or if there is a fix for this??

Disconnect the unit from the speakers and see if it still does it. If it does set to factory default and try again. If it still does it, then it is toast.

If disconnecting the speakers solves it, search for the short you have in the speaker wiring.

I have just looked at a manual. There is no software reset apart from unplugging it. The unit is toast. It was junk before it broke and it will be junk after you fix it, so don't waste anymore time with it. Send it for recycling.
