I signed up to try it out and tried to rent BD and there is no option to do this online (reserve). I emailed them and they said you can only rent BD at the kiosks because the website does not have the information for which discs it has on BD vs DVD in a particular box I am sure they will eventually fix this, but right now it kind of sucks.

Is the BD the same price as their DVD?

$1.50/day for BD vs $1.00.

I have to say I am impressed with the simplicity of their system. It requires little in the way of technical skill and it is QUICK. If you keep it for more than one day, the price is higher than Netflix, but you have the disc now, provided the box has it. The ability to see if what you want is in a box nearby is great too, except that for Blu you can only see which boxes have Blu right now; not which films are available in a particular box on Blu. I checked the box tonight and it only had about 12-15 titles on Blu-ray however, and not many that I was interested in. Still, seems like a good system for those "I want to watch that tonight" nights.

I love Red Box. No paper receipts (sent to you via e-mail instead), you use your debit card as your membership card. I wonder if Blockbuster's cahones shrink up each time Red Box implements something new?

I used to like redbox until I would reserve movies online and show up at the kiosk to pick it up and it would be out of service. OR when I would go to take the movie back and the kiosk was out of service. If it was just one or two times that it happened I really wouldn't complain but it was a very frequent occurrance, so I ended up a reluctant netflix subscriber. SO far so good.

This has happened to me on a few occasions too.

To make matters worse. my town only has 2 redbox kiosks and they've both been out of service at the same time!:mad::mad:

Good to hear they are offering Blu-ray, but they really need to get the bugs worked out of their systems before I'll consider renting from them in the future.

Netflix has been flawless for me so far. :):D:):D:)

Small towns? There are 7 or 8 within a few blocks of here. I checked the box outside the store (there are 2 just at my market a block away) and it had more BDs than the one inside.
