Can you guys share your experience what is the best way to mount a heavy bookshelf speaker on wall for surround? This Image B5 bookshelf is weighing 11.3lbs.

The PSB's dimensions would probably be helpful to know. I chimed in because I want some ideas on how to mount speakers without brackets also. That 10 to 20lbs range can be tough.

I have a idea to mount it on a IKEA wood shelf, however the speakers cannot be angled downward with this method...

If the shelf is large enough for Auralex MoPads or something similar you can, but I'd still want them strapped on somehow in addition. I would look at some of those brackets that have "clamp" style mounting where they cradle the bottom of the speaker and have rubber to keep the speaker from slipping out. Do they happen to have a mounting insert in them on the back? If so, Omnimount has stainless ones that can hold 10, 20 and 30lbs.

The B-Tech BT-77 is a great and sturdy mount for large bookshelf speakers, works great for my larger Paradigm Studio 20's and now Sig S2's

I believe this product has been replaced with this.

It looks like those are rear ported which means you'll need some space behind and around them. If they don't have threaded mounting hole in the back then other mounting options include a shelf and mopads (up to an 8 degree angle) or Audioengine pads (~15 degree angle); or a Pinpoint AM-40 side clamping system as long as you don't need more than a 7 degree down angle.

I've also used the Pinpoint AM-10 system and they work really great but are ugly and require putting holes in speakers. Not something I would do with speakers that nice.

No, it doesn't have the mounting holes on the back. The B5 dimension is 181 x 318 x 242mm

FWIW these shelf mounts look and work well. I'm using one to hold the center in my bedroom system. You just plug in a piece of shelving the right depth for your project.

I'm still in dilemma in choosing the right surround speaker, either bookshelf, bipole or in-ceiling... I have 1 more week to decide before the installer come ...

If you don't mind putting a couple of screws into the back of the speakers the Axiom Full Metal Bracket works well.
I used them a few years ago to mount a pair of PSB Image 1Bs which are the same size as your B5s.
