I saw a black one in a showroom today.

The rear view with that fat back tire really caught my eye.
I'm pretty sure I'll never ride again but dang that thing looked good.

How come you won't ride again?

And speaking of bikes I have now become the owner of a second bike. My Dad is not going to be able to ride anymore so I now have his 07 Suzuki SV-650 with only 1k of miles on it in addition to my Yammie FZ-1. So Alex if you want to come up and ride no problem.

Victory does have a couple of models that put me in mind of that Honda Pacific Coast which I did ride around a parking lot once. It wasn't for me. Those models are suppose to compete with the Gold Wings and they just might as a non-Harley Made in America offering. I was always so wrapped up in Yamaha that the Venture (of old) made the most sense because of that V Max motor.

I finally saw an FJ1300 in a parking lot in Boston. I really liked the way my old 1200 looked, sounded and how the fairing buzzed but would gladly ride a water cooled shaft driven version of that ... if I were to ever ride again. I just can't afford to fall and get all messed up and now that I'm older and more responsible ... I just say no.

... but my heart skips a beat when I see bikes on the highway. :)

Edit: That concept bike is awesome!

i really like alot of the stuff victory has out. I like the 8-balls.. the cool 21" front tire.. some of them are goofy.. but over all i'm impressed. they are priced pretty good too. the only thing that sucks is the I bought this "because I like it better than a harley" always sounds so cheesy...

Harley has this Nite Rod thing out there with a ton of horse power that holds it's own.

I've seen one up close and got the run down on it's strengths ... pretty impressive.

Some of those bikes look really cool and all, but I have rode many, and I just can't get into them. They all handle like a turd with tractor tires around the corners. Not my idea of fun. Not up here in twisty area thats for sure.

When I think of driving a cruiser bike up here this always comes to mind. Heck he was only going about 40. A Good sport, race or sport touring bike could of took that corner at 60 or better and not even blinked.

While the biker was a moron, the people in the vehicle taping it were just unbelievable.

"Keep going"
"They're gonna beat our asses"
"Let's go"
"Lets get out of here"
"I'd of pulled over if there'd been a spot to pull over"

These are not people I would want to even know. It's deplorable. Not to mention potentially illegal.

Yeah no one was gonna beat them if they would have got out and helped. They did not do anything wrong, and it was the other dude that did the passing. They were all just a bunch of young wimps probably.

I want to like the Victory's but the Arlan Ness styling is just to disproportionate for my tastes.

Only one bike is an Arlen Ness design job but more than one looked like an upside down turkey IIRC. The 8-Ball is cool and it has an even cooler name ... 3-1/2 grams, right? :D

That guy was only going like 5 mph. A good Harley could have taken that turn going at least 10. :D
