Folks, before watching Predators yesterday afternoon I got to see the trailer for Paranormal Activity 2! I must say, I was a bit surprised. It appears to pick up exactly where the original left off and is due to open Sept. 22nd, 2010 in a theater near you.

I admit, the original Paranormal was decent. There were some creepy scenes in it. I just was not too happy with the way it ended. However, since Part 2. starts at the ending of Part I. it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. The trailer looks pretty creepy if you ask me. Really looking forward to seeing this film. Here is a link for those interested:

If you do plan on seeing this one, then please feel free to share your thoughts. Just curious to see if there are other members here that is looking forward to seeing this one.

Cheers,

Phil

NOPE.

The first one sucked and wasn't scary at all. There's a reason why they do viral internet campaigns instead of the normal movie review channels.

I thought it was a pretty decent movie. I wasn't expecting much out of it but it turned out to be way better than I thought, so I'm also looking forward to this part 2. I felt the same way with "The Blair Witch Project".

You are correct in that the first one was not all that great. However, it did have a few creepy scenes/moments. It was beginning to get better when it ended. Part 2. picks up where Part 1. ended. That should make for a better movie. At least, it looks to be better than the original. Either way, I will see it and judge for myself. Who knows, it may end up being very good. Especially, since I will be going into it not expecting very much.

Oh yeah, I remember the Blair Witch. In fact, I went to high school with the guy who produced it. His name is Greg Hale. Be sure to share your thoughts once you do see the second part.

I thought that PA was the best $11,000 movie I ever saw, but not much more than that. The gimmick was that it was so cheap and minimal but still worked. I don't think it will work again.

Skizz you may have a point. But then again, you never know. It may just turn out to be a decent film. I will see it regardless and come to my own conclusion. Like all things, only time will tell.

Yeah, the original had some very creepy moments. Part 2 looks to have even more. Perhaps, it is a good idea for you not to see it. Personally, I can not wait to see it.

Are you serious?!?!? What are you a 12 year old girl?? There was NOTHING scary about that movie.

"Thump! Thump! Thump! Here I am the scary demon, stomping up the stairs so you know I'm coming."

Stupid.

Even the trailers looked too dumb for me on this one. Cannot believe they're making another.

You must be a soulless demon spawn to think that movie wasn't creepy. ;)

Sounds like you have to keep telling yourself it wasn't scary, maybe someone was a lot more scared than he wants to admit.

Sorry dude, my wife thought it was dumb too.

The part where the demon yanked her out of bed and pulled her down the hallway was kind of cool. But you never saw the thing. I had the same problem with Blair Witch, I just can't be scared by something I can't see. If I don't see it, it doesn't exist, therefore it isn't scary.

Oooooo a shadow went by the camera. Oooooo a door closed on it's own. Plus, why does the demon bother to stomp every time he comes up the stairs? Is that supposed to freak me out? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

The original did have some creepy moments imho. Sure, the movie in and of itself was not all that great. However, it was getting good when it ended. Thus, that is why I want to see the sequel. My guess it will actually be a decent film this go around. We will all know soon enough as September will be here before you know it.

Agreed, the movie itself was not all that great at all, but you gotta use your imagination with the demon / witch ( blairwitch project ) etc etc.....

although the girl in blairwitch was annoying the crap outta me and I did not enjoy that movie very much unlike paranormal where the girl had a package I could stare at to keep me entertained haha...

Package? Sorry dude, but girl's aren't supposed to have packages. Maybe you were looking at the boyfriend. Besides, she wasn't even that cute; just another chick you'd see at the mall. I'd giver her a "6" tops.

PA truly sucked and I love movies of this nature. Just too far fetched and then they had an alternate ending. I was like how could this be based on real events when it has an alteranate ending. Like the Devil said, "oh crap that didn't work right, let me do this take again"

I will say that the "The Fourth Kind" which did use real (not staged) footage scared the crapola out of me and I am not one to scare easy/ That one though had me sleeping with an eye open.

The picture at the end of the trailer is kinda creepy, it shows a still frame at 3:53:54 and if you look in the crib it's empty, but the refection in the mirror shows a small infant standing up with one arm on the crib looking off the side.
