2Wire. They said they updated security and changed a password to prevent people from gaining access to the config of the router itself. When I talked to the guy, he said they are getting a lot of these calls because the password appears in multiple places so that your router can gain access to the system and for some reason it isn't always getting updated in all places and as a result, you lose connection. When I ran the tests in the 2wire it said the connection is there and is fine but it cannot connect so no web. I could access computers on the network from each other through the router, but the "internet" light was red, so no outside access. It took 2 hrs and 5 people before I got to a guy who knew what the issue was and he fixed it in a few minutes. He works for 2wire, not AT&T - they provide hardware support when AT&T's standard troubleshooting doesn't work.
