If by premium cable you mean, will they be as good as Bluejeans, then I'd have to say no. Will they do the job? Yes.

Buy it. Go ahead. You'll be glad you did. Pull that trigger.

Guys, we've gotten off point a bit with all of this here; I'm wondering if I should buy this set of RCAs when the shipping is more than the $4.00 item.

And what makes these so "inferior" to the Blue Jeans type?

When I say that Bluejeans are better quality, I am referring to their construction primarily. That is not to say they would noticeably outperform the ones you are looking to buy. I am talking about construction - Blujeans has probably the best built RCAs I've used over the years, and I have been using their cables for many years. They use the best RCA connectors and high quality cables terminated correctly. For the price, they are superior to cables that other companies are charging much more for. I try to buy products that I know are quality and there is no question that these are. I don't mind paying a little more compared to what is available because I don't even have to think twice about whether or not they are good quality. As I mentioned, compared to what other companies are charging for the same thing or even lesser quality, these are actually a bargain.

I compared one of their $20 component cables back in the day to a $80 Monster cable and the difference was easily visible, though IMO, video is more sensitive to a quality analog cable.

I am not saying don't buy the Monoprice ones. I have products from Monoprice as well (no interconnects) and they are good as well, but I usually buy there when I need something specific and less expensive.

Thanks for the input, J.

Can you recommend, via a link perhaps, a good-quality RCA cable from Bluejeans?

It doesn't seem weird though that shipping is more than the cable itself is worth?
Don’t mean to be a smart you-know-what, but what does the shipping price have to do with anything? The shipping charge is based on the size and weight of the package, and the speed of delivery. That has nothing to do with the value of what’s in the package. If they were giving the cables away for free, would you turn them down just because the shipping cost more than the cables?

If it bothers you, just look at it as if the cables cost a total of $8.00. Bet you still couldn’t find anything locally that cheap.

There won’t be any links on their site for a particular cable. Everything you order from them is custom-made.

I'm just saying that it seems odd to pay much more for the shipping on at item that only cost four bucks to begin with -- the whole point of the order was that I get these cables at a more more economically efficient pricepoint as compared to, say, what my Monsters once cost (and still do). But $4.00 is REALLY affordable, yet the shipping makes it seem...I don't know...out of whack.

I see what you're saying about the shipping not being based on what the product is worth -- and you're right. Perhaps I just didn't word the questions in the initial post right; I guess I am just asking if paying the shipping on this $4.00 item, which comes to, individually, more than the cables cost, is worth it.

I see. I will have to look into this further.
