Well, I sold my Carver C-1, my Paradigm Studio 100 v1's, and my Yamaha P2201 amp. For what?
A pair of mint B&W 602 S3's.
It was a good price, and I'm not complaining about the deal.
But, something tells me that I won't be able to get an amp of that caliber for a while. Not to mention, as old as it was, it was in near excellent condition. Usually those amps are all torn up and scratched to Armageddon.
I pulled out the DSP-A1000 out for the B&W's, and it's working well for the time being.
Did I do the right thing? I feel that the B&W's are better built speakers all around, and they also fit my room slightly better.
But getting rid of my amp? Well, I guess it's harder to find near mint speakers that aren't blown up, rather than near mint electronics that don't run.
Someone tell me it'll be ok.
