Yeah I have been dealing with Ashley for years, in fact when I first joined (years ago) this site and tried to warn the mods here about Ashley, I gave them details and links to mods to contact at various sites and they rewarded me by banning me. In fact my original name is still banned. I went to a GTG at MazerSteven's house a few years ago in Florida (I live in AZ) and actually met the founder of AH and we talked about my banning. He said he would look into it but my name was never released. So I waited awhile and re joined after I saw that Ashley had finally showed his pycho true colors and they banned him. (Why does nobody at any A/V site ever believe me or contact the mods at the link I give em...sigh) anyway soon enough the mods realize how unstable this guy is and finally ban him.

But as mentioned he signs up again under a variety of names, but I have seen his postings long enough to recognize him under other names in as few as a couple of posts. Hence when you posted his name and I saw Sooty in the name, I instantly knew who it was even before I read "yepimonfire" post and saw the typical ramblings.

yea, i did contact that guy isiberian told me to contact, he left me a message under a different yahoo ID about gene and alot of gay raping he would do to me and him, unfortunately i blocked him so i could not send the message to that guy, it was seriously disturbing.

You have no idea of how disturbed he is. At one point he was rambling about shooting our President (Bush Jr) and a few members contacted the FBI about those postings. What's disturbing is the guy doesnt think he's the one with the problem but we all are. And if you question any of his HT ideas, he'll call you names and say your the idiot and his ideas should be implemented in all HT systems. (again using Dolby ProLogic gear) The pics of his HT system are enough to wonder the sanity of the man and how his neighbors haven't beat him to a pulp for the whole tire thing and him playing his system at the levels he claims to get is puzzling in itself.

Oh then let me entertain you with a couple pics of the the domicile of a madman. In fact if you go over to AVSForums and do a search on madman (oops I mean member) JBLsound4645 you will read hundreds upon hundreds of posts of just constant inconsistent ramblings, pics of his awesome home made sub (that's more of a akin to a mid bass module since his sub can never get anything below 30hz, but here's some pics.


A crazy mans HT.

yes those are countless speakers surrounding a 20" TV (which he recently upgraded) and he doownplays digital TV's because they arent true to life.

Yes even though the sub says JBL don't believe it, He and a friend of his made this sub from scratch from stealing the design of a real JBL sub and years ago we told him he could get better bass results by plugging one or two of the port plugs with a sock, he chose a crinkled up sandwich bag to (ahem) achieve the same effect.

Here's his gear all prologic gear from the 70's mind you.

His JBl StaticX Control One speakers which he claims are better than any other speaker out there (including Dynaudio, B&W and Paradigms) by the way all these speakers are used for his surround and "whole overhead sound" where he placed speakers on the ceiling aimed straight down and those speakers were matrixed from the surround whihc had already been matrixed from the original ProLogic reciever he uses. So if we think about that the ProLogic has already matrixed the sound froma stereo source, he then matrixed that sound again from the matrixed surround sound to matrix it into his overhead speakers (boogles the mind doesnt it) anyway here are the speakers.

wait a second, "JBL control 5 I must say sound better in a room with concrete flooring, this helps to eliminate rattles and buzzing sounds! Not to mention sub bass and LFE.1 frequencies.
" last concrete room i placed my system in sounded so wretchingly terrible i immediately moved it. concrete is the absolute worst for bass frequencies IMO.

This is a nutcase named "Ashley" who live in Bournemouth England. He has been banned from here (the main mod in Florida forget his name and started AH knows him quite well) , SoundandVisionMagForums and AVS. He is a mentally unstable gentleman. He gets banned and rejoins under various names. His most common names are JBL, JBL(and various numbers) or Ashley.

I remember him from some other forum (or forums). If memory serves, he was also obsessively fond of the Empire in Leicester Square. His level of craziness is hard to describe. I would agree with the "avoid at all costs" advise...
