I heard today that Fifa has no intentions of banning these horns. Some teams have already expressed concern because they're finding it difficult to communicate on the pitch but this would effect both sides.

All I know is that so far, these have been some of the lowest scoring and least decisive WC games I've ever seen.

Personally, I think it kills the players concentration. I know it would mine. It annoys the flock outta me at home.

Scoring is down. Some(experts) have attributed the lack of scroring was due to the higher elevation and the new ball saying "players will need to adjust". Hopefully we'll see some more scoring when Brazil and Spain take the field and teams play their second matches. Todays game between Paraguay and Italy was low scoring but I enjoyed it...and Germany looked like a machine...winning 4-0.

I'm just glad to see something other than 0-0 and 1-1 stuff. At least those 1-0's were somewhat better but maybe now we'll see some real scoring.

The Italy Paraguay game was good in the first half but a little boring for most of the second half (until Italy scored).

I tried watching a match the other day and the horns were so iritating that I gave up.
Just freakin' annoying.

I heard on our local sport talk all Spanish debt owed to the Swiss has now been absolved...jk. Hey what do you know, it appears scoring picked up a tad judging by the last 2 results .

Refs blew today. They cost the US team a win and the German team a win with bogus red card. Of course Americans aren't really concerned, but I know Germany is not happy.

The England-Algeria match sucked. Boring as hell. A very shoddy England performance, which is disappointing, since I'm cheering for England. I have English ancestry and Canada will only be able to field a competitive team when the rules change and they play the game on skates.

The US-Slovenia match, on the other hand was great! Very entertaining and the US comeback to tie was thrilling. Still not sure why their third goal was called back though....

England needs to bring in some new players. Dump the stars and get some guys out there who will at least give it a go.

Your right about that...they make WAY to much money for their clubs to risk injury playing for their country and have the results to prove it.
