HI folks. I'm looking for some longer rubber feet for my SVS PB12-NSD. I found some chrome spikes but there are six of these things and $7 each for something like this seems a bit much. Thanks.

I can't help with spikes but you may discover that a better way to go is to put it up on a SubDude or Gramma.

Yeah I discovered those shortly after posting this. The subdude seems perfect but kind of pricey for what it is. Any cheaper alternatives aside from DIY?

This is what I am using till my subdude arrives. Rubber plugs with a marble tile inbetween and it seems to work good. Subdude is a must have. Alex's invention.

Nothing that I can recommend but you could look through some of the offerings at http://soundproofing.org/ but honestly I haven't found anything that I like better than the SubDude line. I own two SubDudes and a Great Gramma and I can't believe how much they improved my systems.

Interesting. I went to depot and I planned on building my own for cheap. I'm sure the subdude is great but it sounds like $50 is a bit steep for what it is. I'll build my own for $20.

I love what my Gramma has done for my system as well, but you can certainly build something similar for less. Getting the right densitiy of foam that will support the weight of a sub is one thing.

I have two Gramma pads under my SVS NSD 12/2 (one wasn't big enough but two placed sideways and one in front the other in back made the perfect fit for my large sub. All I can say is the 60.00 I paid for both (from a S&V forum member) was well worth the money.

I have a huge great room that is covered on both sides by bay windows and sliding glass doors and windows and everything in that room rattled, but once I put my sub under the gramma pads, all rattling stopped and now all I hear is pure clean bass.

You could build your own, but as mentioned finding the foam that can handle the weight of the sub and properly decouple ths ub is another thing all together, best to buy the Great Gramma and be done with it, one of the best investments you'll make to improve the bass.

I'm just pissed at myself that I waited so long to buy my pads.
