Good deal on a SVS Ultra

Let me start by saying I am not the one sellling this sub and I do not know the seller in any way. I simply saw this add on the Orange County, CA Craigslist. I talked with the guy and he seems willing to drop the price a little below the 1000 mark. Great deal for an Ultra 13. I would be all over this if I could convince my wife we needed a 155 lb sub in our condo living room lol.

I might actually be willing to drive down there for that deal. I was going to do a DIY sub, but if he is going to go under $1K that would be close to what I would be spending on my project and it is rosenut.

I think he might take off $50 or so but not much more. I offered him $800 not because I'm cheap (though I am) but because literally that is all I have to offer from my play money (its a marriage thing) and I didn't hear back so I'm assuming he was not pleased.

I thought I would go out on a limb and call the guy. He was willing to ship to Canada so I made a call to "Freighters and Craters" who could pack and ship the item for me. 30 minutes later I get a call from them with a quote...you ready?....over $600 to ship....NOT including; Brokerage, duties, taxes.

This $1000 sub would wind up costing me $2000! F me
