Set in Rome after the previous game. The main reason why this is big: MULTIPLAYER.

The critically acclaimed single-player experience of Assassin's Creed is back and better than ever as Ezio returns in an epic struggle against the powerful Templar Order.

Now a legendary Master Assassin, Ezio must journey into Italy's greatest city, Rome, center of power, greed and corruption to strike at the heart of the enemy. Defeating the corrupt tyrants entrenched there will require not only strength, but leadership, as Ezio commands an entire Brotherhood that will rally to his side. Only by working together can the Assassins defeat their mortal enemies.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood offers a never-before-seen multiplayer layer. Players can help the Templars by using Abstergo to train in the art of Assassination to eliminate the Assassins once and for all. Players can choose from a wide range of unique characters, each with their own signature weapons and assassination techniques, and match their skills against other players from all over the world in different game modes.

It's nice to see that multiplayer has been thrown into the mix this time around.

I read a comment on PTOM and they said the multiplayer is shaping up to be one of the best they've seen so far. ACII was a good game. The cities were big and they are saying that Rome if FOUR TIMES larger than Venice. Venice alone was huge so for the new one to be that much larger is pretty nuts.

Well in that case you might want to pack a lunch if you have to go across town to whack somebody.:D

Yeah, in ACII it actually could take about 5 minutes to run from one section to where the target is.

Why does that article say that the game is PS3 exclusive when everyone else is saying the game will be released on PC and 360?

It will probably be multi-platform. I think that exclusive thing was probably an error on IGN's part.

Wait a minute...
I don't think anyone but Ares is allowed to start a thread in the game forum.
