That blue Samsung band that appears at the bottom of the screen...

... is really thartin' to pith me off big time. It hides the bottom inch of the window and doesn't always offer a close button on it.

If anything, it's turning me off to Samsung since they have to resort to these distracting means in order to be noticed.

I realize advertising is a necessary part of the financial operation of this site but it seems to be getting to be more and more of an impediment to active participation.

Plus, up to a few minutes ago, has this site been uncharacteristically slow to load the past few days.

What Samsung band? You're going to have to do a screen capture...

It doesn't always appear.

How does one do a screen capture? (Yes, I'm a neathanderal)
Good question as I have been having the same issue. It is so annoying. Can't even turn it off!:mad::mad::mad:

To screen capture you press the "Print Screen" key (usually upper right on your keyboard, one of those keys). Now load any graphics program (Microsoft Paint is fine ...), press paste.... it'll paste the screenshot. Now save it as a jpeg.

I finally had to add the advertisement blocking plugin to Chrome. Now I have no advertisements on this site.

To do this download Google Chrome, then search for adblock chrome and follow the instructions. By default the Samsung advertisement will be gone, along with the main ads. The buttons you have to remove separately if you want, but it is quick and painless.

I have never seen that. I use Firefox with Ad Blocker Plus though, so stuff like that is generally kept out. Yesterday however, I was using IE8 and I also never saw that one.

Strangely enough, I haven't seen it since I posted this rant.
