A couple of obvervations regarding Modern Warfare 2

I am still addicted to MW2 on the PC. There are two things that are really starting to get annoying, however.

1. Maps... yes it's really annoying having to wait for the map packs when they've been on Xbox Live for over a month. That's not the main thing though. Why is there no mechanism to choose a preferred map that you may feel like playing at the time??? They took away dedicated servers. The least they could do is give us a way to get into the map we want. Some days I don't see certain maps at all. In fact, I've wanted to play Estate for the last week and a half and I haven't seen it come up in the rotation even ONCE. What's up with that?

2. Care packages... Random? I'm not so sure. I go some evening with 10+ ammo and UAV care packages in a row. Totally useless. My record for number of consecutive ammo care packages is 12. I DON'T NEED AMMO! I am usually using scavenger.

How about this one: why is there an option to nuke in objective games? I cannot figure this one out for the life of me. In a game where teamwork is already scarce while everyone concentrates on their killstreaks, why encourage completely abandoning the objective by allowing for snipers to hide in corners and rack up kills so they can "win" games they didn't even participate in?!?!?

3. I'm on a roll with a group having fun. Match ends. New match about to start... "Game Lobby Closed" or "Unable to Migrate Host". Have to start over. Get stuck in a match in progress on the team that is losing horribly... Ugghh!!!

I am so in love with being dropped into free-for-all matches when the leader is already at 650....it's pretty fun to have nearly 0% chance of winning.

I agree with all of your points guys. My thing is, I just play, so none of that stuff bothers me. I can see how it would be enfuriating though.

wastland and rust

I never get to play wastland or rust, Whats up with that. Getting stuck in the middle of a loosing match is bad as well. I am still having fun playing this game though.

Host Migration!!! I hate it! I was in a game that was going really well and the host left...

Awaiting connection.... 5.... 10... 21.....

Unable to connect to host!!!

WTF??!!! I don't even understand how this crap works. It is the most annoying thing.

EDIT: OH Yes.... I'm in a party with people and suddenly I'm joining a completely different game.

I get wasteland too dang much. Never get Rust though (it's my favorite map)
I love to run through it with Marathon/Lightweight/Hipfire Accuracy and a pair of akimbo P90's with rapid fire attachment. I have that Custom Class just for when that map comes up!

I get Derailed waaaaay too much, and I absolutely hate that map, have to run forever to get back to the fight if you have to respawn.

Yeah I have been seeing wasteland more often,rust on the other hand is very hard map to get in on for some reason.
