36 inch-ish Flat Screen - need a good deal

I'm looking for a inexpensive flat screen in the 36" range. It seems I used to see these at SAM's club for just around $400, but not most seem all in the mid 4's and up. This is just for the bathroom by the tub so I'm not looking for anything expensive. High 3's would be where I'd want to be.

Anyone know of any stellar deals out there?

There were some good deals last week, but not too much now. Maybe check your local stores for an open box set? I got my 32" Samsung with full warranty like that for $350 (regularly $499). All I see right now is a 32" Toshiba for $399 and a 37 Toshiba for $449.

I'd stay away from Scepter, Viore, Dynex, etc... They aren't good brands. Some of the Westinghouse displays get decent reviews but others have had some issues, so research the specific model first.

There's just really a lack of a good pricing on the 35-37inch models. I may have to rethink this. A 40 inch is a much better deal money-wise, but the way the tub is configured, its just not going to work on that wall.

You know you watch too much tv when you can't step away from your show to drop a deuce. :)

Well I just said "screw it" and went to SAMs and bought two 37 inch Vizio's for over the tub and for my daughter room. I figured it's just as good as anything in the price range. I can them for $458 each and they look pretty nice and have a nice physical appearance as well.

I suddenly have this image of you taking a bubble bath while watching Desparate Housewives.

Make it go away. :p

Yeah... that's something no one should have to think about let alone see. There's a lot to be said though for taking a tubby though. I ignore all the fancy crap I can't pronounce that my wife has and just use the Mr. Bubble I have stashed away. But just like when I was a kid, I always use too much and when you turn the jets on in the tub you get about 3 feet of suds. It is relaxing though!
