Hi, iv'e got a MUSE album in DTS 5.1 format that im trying to play through my ps3. I aquired the album in 11 DTS tracks in HDD form on my pc. i tried putting them on protable storage but the ps3 couldnt see the files, so i used nero 10 with the dts plug in to put the files on cd. The cd seems to work perfectly, the tracks all come up when you insert the disk to the ps3 and are all named properly with correct song lenghts and everything but all i can hear is static which leads me to believe its a decoding issue. i have a Yamaha HTR-6130 which is a DTS compatible reciever. When i play blurays the dts all works fine it even comes up on the screen of the reciever "DTS" and sounds fantastic but for some reason when i play DTS from cd it only plays the dreaded static. I use HDMI for video and digital optical for sound have tried every possible combination of settings on both ps3 and reciever, have tried countless recomendations of settings from countless diffrent forums and no luck. I either get no sound or static. Have put about 11 hours into getting it to work so far..... cant give up either cause the store bought version of the album was limited to 5000. any help appreciated.

I tried to play my Sheryl Crow: Globe Sessions DTS CD on my slim PS3 and it would not even recognize the disc. The fat PS3 recognizes the disc. Unfortunately I don't have any DTS decoding capable devices right now (that's insane isn't it?).

Take a look at this thread. This worked on my Fat system but I haven't tried it on my Slim.
