or other-
Room is very small- under 900 cuft.
Right now the speakers will probably be DT Pro Monitor 1000 (frts), 800(rears) and Pro Center 1000.
Should I stick with the DT sub or branch out?

Keep an eye on the used market, audiogon, videogon, craigslist, the classifieds section here.

Try this....

I used to own a Hsu Research VTF-2 (Original model with 10" woofer) and upgraded to this:

$415 and worth every penny. Substantial upgrade from the Hsu 10", though the Hsu sounded AMAZING and was very high quality...this sub is just as dynamic, it just plays lower and more than twice as loud. There's no downside to the eD A2-300. AND their shipping is free.

I'm starting to sense a pattern here-
anybody have anything good to say about elemental designs?

Again with the small room- I have an issue with the width of the sub cabinet, about 13" or less, but some of these suggestions could work and the price seems right

You oculd probabaly even get ED's smallest cheapest subwoofer and it would be better than the Def tech or HSU subs you mentioned

I don't know man. I just had my A2-300 amp die on me. Was an amazing subwoofer.. I'm however inclined to believe that I was one of the few.

HELL!!! Even after having one of their subs die on me, I'm still thinking about going with another one!! (That's how awesome they are)
