ROFL! Just wanted to announce that I have borrowed a PS3 and GoW3!!!

And if I can get my hands on MGS4, I will beat the only 2 PS3 games I care about and never touch one again! :D

You'll buy a ps3 son enough. I said the same thing, "I only care about mgs4 so I can finish the story" boy was I wrong. Next comes Killzone 2 just to "try it out" then comes heavy rain, and infamous, and it never stops.

GOW3 is a fairly short game. MGS4 is not, especially if you want to earn the sneaking badges.

Did anyone else read the original post and wonder how he was already playing Gears of War 3, on Playstation no less?

I have heard that one before and before you know it you'll own one because there will always be games you will need to play.

Welcome to the Darkside

It's easy to confuse Gears Of War and God Of War... hopefully they will keep the Gears of War exclusive to the 360.

PS3's aren't that bad, I have a fat one, a slim one, and 2 360's, an elite and a regular old pro with the 20 gig hdd and no hdmi, they both work fine too, but I did have to send my elite in to be refurbed, but not before I had to send a PS3 in for replacement. I rarely use my PS3 anymore though, since most of my games are for the 360 and I use my media pc's for blu ray playback... my girl uses the PS3 to play dvd's and blu rays since she doesn't want to mess with using the htpc, even though I've shown her how easy it is.

We have 6 360's in the house now. Mainly because upstairs room-mate keeps buying limited edition consoles with his Navy paycheck since he's technically "rent-free" for another month. We have 3 Ps3's, one of them in our large theater, one in me and my wife's room, the other in the living room on the small TV, then every single TV in the house has a 360, there's one in every room, and some just sitting in the closet that hang out till one breaks. We've had 2 go RR on us so far. Mine also RR and I sold it for $60. They're not worth fixing. Meanwhile, my launch Ps3 broke, sent it to Sony, and they charged $150 and claimed the issue had been resolved for all PS3's and it will never happen again - ever. I think it is a necessity to have both consoles really, otherwise you miss out on some games here and there.

One to play while the other gets fixed? :D
I quite literally have two Xbox 360s for that exact purpose.

When my first one died and repair times were 6+ weeks, I bought a new one. When I received my refurbished 360, I sold it to a friend.

Naturally, my new 360 died within a year. I again bought another to play while that one was repaired, but decided to keep the refurb when it was returned. It was a good decision; between my and my friends' 360s, I loan out the "loaner Xbox" a good one to two times per year while our 360s get repaired.

I love my Xbox, but the failure rate on these things is ridiculous. Of my regular gaming group (9), every single one of us has had our 360 fail AT LEAST once.

Unfortunately, that is why I have 2 PS3s also. I haven't even sent in the old one for repair yet because I haven't had a ton of time to even be on the PS3 lately except for GOWIII and MW2 last month.
