Can't enter system setup on Denon Avr-1907

Ok i tried the search function but cant find anything close to my problem...

I have a Denon 7.1 receiver, type AVR-1907 (European model) and now suddenly cant enter system setup anymore.
Right now i have a simple setup: PC connected to Denon AVR, feeding two speakers in a stereo setup. Thats it, nothing fancy.

Both the "System Setup" button on the front panel as the "setup" button on the remote simply dont do anything any more. All other buttons seem to work just fine, which makes me think i might be doing something wrong. Trouble is i changed from coax to optical input from my pc and want to alter that in the setup.

I already tried resetting the processor as mentioned in the manual several times, including one time with pulling the power cord to remove all power from the device. I seemingly succesfully reset the processor each time, as the display blinks in 1 second intervals when i do it, as mentioned in the manual.

Does anybody have any ideas about what the trouble is, and most importantly, how to fix it?

Make sure the little slide switch at the bottom left is in the correct position. If you set it to control a Denon CD/DVD player, it won't go into the receiver's menu.

Thanks, ill try that. What position needs it to be in? And mind you, the button on the front of the set itself doesnt work as well.

I forgot you posted that the button on the face doesn't want to work. I would unplug it for a few minutes and plug it in again. If that doesn't get results, I would e-mail Denon about it.
