Just discovered my World of Warcraft account got hacked. I have three level capped characters as well as a lvl 75 druid and all the gear is gone along with over 5k gold, 15 crusader orbs and over 100 frost lotus. Reported it to Blizzard and they are working on restoring what they can.

My main (5100 GS troll resto shaman) just got the battered hilt two days ago and yup, it's gone as well. Had three ilvl 264 pieces as well as craft-able 251 chest and braces.

What a way to start the weekend.

That sucks as a former EQ player I couldn't imagine someone hacking my Characters.

They either used a Keylogger or a Man-in-the-middle hack. It's going to a take a few days so I just have to wait and see.

Said part is, I have had an authenticator on my desk for the last two weeks, just never got it paired to my account. I've been playing off and on since 06 and now can say I've joined the ranks of the hacked.

Well if it's any consolation, everyone in my guild who has been hacked got back their stuff and then some. Usually the account will get frozen with all of the crap the Chinese farmers farmed before they had a chance to sell it.

Got to give it to Blizzard, I have everything back on all four toons in less than 24 hours. Now the only thing that would make the day better is if I could catch the little creep that did this.
