Rotel 1098 for sale

I have recently taken my Rotel 1098 Pre/Pro out of service. It is the silver unit with the screen and two large knobs either side.

The unit was purchased in January of 2006 and installed April 2006.

It is functioning perfectly and looks new. It has always been powered by the APC smart UPS shown below and the house has whole house surge protection. Voltage has always been controlled within tight parameters.

I have all manuals and remote.

The unit has no HDMI and does not offer the loss less codecs. It has component switching and is a high grade unit. Purchase price was $2800 from Hi-Fi sound Minneapolis.

If any body would like this unit, I will consider any sensible offers. These units usually sell for between $400 and $500.

So was it an issue, the 1098 not having room correction? That's the main thing that makes me unsure of picking up a used one -- don't really need hdmi for a while yet.

room correction can still be overrated IMO.

just make sure you have an SPL meter + measuring tape, and check the positive-negative connections on both ends.
