I unplug the power cord and plug it back in. Neither the power switch on the unit itself or the remote will turn it on unless I pull the main plug, wait a minute, and plug it back in. Does anyone have any idea what the heck the problem could be?

Hitting the zone 2 power button perhaps? Drove me crazy with my Yamaha until I realized the remote on button was activating both zones, but only turning one off...

That's an interesting thought because I wouldn't think the unit has anything wrong with it, since pulling the plug is probably putting it back into some sort of default state. I can't pin point any sort of frequency of how often it happens though, but I will definitely look into the manual better for some sort of situation like you mentioned.

There is a known issue with not powering on randomly from the remote. There's a firmware update to fix it, but you have to take it to a service center to get the update applied.

Turning Kurolink on will keep it from happening, but then you can't reassign inputs, etc. If you don't need that try with Kuro on and see what happens.

I haven't heard of the power button on the unit not working, so you may have a whole different problem.

I hope this helps.
