i have a bob carver 15" sub. its about 10 years old, beautiful and was working great till recently and now needs servicing. i brought it into a shop w an older tech whos very reputable and been around for 20 years. it was diagnosed as needing a photo isolator # HP-2611. the tech said he couldnt find the part, well immediately anyway and didnt know if he could find it at all. he said if the specs of the isolator could be found than a generic one could be used.. but he wasnt going to spend the time to research it. he offered to throw my sub away for me lol. but i figured i would try and find the part myself.. or a suitable replacment..he mentioned a company called evrett electronics in washington that he said bought all the left over carver parts supply years ago but i cannot find any info for that company.. i will be very greatful for any help.. on where i could find this part or suitable replacement..thanks soo much... Bob always does something odd and pays the price.
I think that is an Agilent number but I don't think they are in that line of business now.
The data sheet does not seem to be available, others are looking for I see, with no luck. There are thousands of these devices available. Even with a data sheet this may be a search and a half.
These people have all remaining Carver spares. If they don't have it, I think the your tech is right, it needs to go to the bone yard.
I have heard they charge very high prices, as you would expect they would have to given the situation.
