Hey All
Let me start by saying that I am very much a newb to audio equipment.. so go easy
I have recently dug up some audio equipment that I would like to put to good use. My goal is to rediscover the enjoyment of the 1000s of LPs and 45s that I accumulated growing up for personal use in my home.
I have thhe following equipment:
-Technics 1200 SL1200 MKII (very dusty and dirty at this point)
-Ortofon Concorde Cartridge (fairly dusty as well)
-2x Klipsch 3.1 Speakers
-Kenwood VR-307 Receiver
I have read the suggestion to replace the tone arm with the Jelco and am considering that. As well as potentially replacing the cartridge with the Denon.
Ok now to the questions...
-What further equipment do I need to correctly produce audio from the turntable to the Klipsch speakers?
-Is the Kenwood receiver even something that I can utilize?
-Does the turntable need professional cleaning and adjustment or is that something I can accomplish myself?
The budget is very tight these days so I would like to utilize what I have as much as possible.
Thanks for the help and sorry if these questions sound very basic
