Does anyone have any idea when this player is gonna come out. I've searched everywhere and can't find any info on its release. The only thing I do know, is that they delayed it due to hdmi 1.4 and how they want to future proof. I know it will incorporate the latest wolfson audio dacs, but I do not know what kind of video processor its gonna use.

Any bit of info would be nice. I will continue to look for more info myself.

paradigm seismic 110

Kazman I don't know when it will be released but would like an opinion on your sub 110, I ordered mine a month ago and still haven't got it yet and it won't be shipped until Apr 08/10. I am considering getting the new sub 12 but haven't heard any comments on the 110. I see you have one and want to know if you are happy with it or do you think I should change my order and get the sub 12?

I see that the sub 12 has twice the power and a 12" driver instead of the 10" in the 110. Room 25' x 14' x 7' and am using an 8 year old yamaha 5560 amp 75w x 6. Paradigm monitor 3's and 3se's rear cc190 center currently an old yamaha yst 100 (70w amp). I am going to start upgrading with the sub as my bass now sucks. Will then get an anthem mva 50, reference 60v5 and go from there. Your opinion is greatly appreciated as you semm to be one of the few with the new seismic 110's.

Its funny that you asked me about the sub. I originally ordered a velodyne optimum-12. However it never came in after being on order for well over 3 months. i called my dealer while I was out of town, and they recommended me an even trade of going with the seismic 110. I'm actually still out of town outside the US. I will be back state side tommorow so I haven't even heard it yet. From what my dealer told me though, is that it is superb and better than what I had on order. I haven't called them in over a week since I've been out here, but when I get back hopefully it has arrived. Sorry my sig is a little misleading. I'll keep you posted when I get it.

Well I pulled the plug on my order on the seismic 110. The new shipping date I was given was April 9/2010. After reading many reviews of the sub 12 I decided to cancel the order on the 110 and go with the Sub-12 in piano black with the PBK-1 to correct the room acoustics. I'd still like to here how you like the 110 when you get it. I should be able to pick up my sub-12 when I get back home on April 02/10.

I hope you enjoy the sub 12. My 110 was scheduled to leave the warehouse on the 30th of this month. Hopefully I get it in next week or so. I'll get a better update when I stop by the store on the 1st of april. Good luck!

Sub-12

Picked up my sub-12 on Saturday and brought it home and set it up. Used a single RCA mono cable from the amp to the sub and then did the phase adjustment, set freq cut off to by-pass as my amp has a preset at 90hz. Let it play for an hour and then ran the pbk-1 (10 different locations). Sounded much better after the pbk. Still it took some time and adjustment of the sub volume level to get it right for music. I settled at between 2/3 to 3/4 on the volume level. As the Paradigm manual says, wait several hours before you critically judge the speakers performance. After about 15 hours of use (10 music and 5 HT) the sub really started to sound amazing. Although it sounds awesome for music, the biggest difference between the old Yamaha YST-100 and the Sub-12 is definitely in the HT realm. Overall the sub not only has more punch, it also has more depth, accuracy, and the whole system sounds remarkably better. Definitely the best bang for my buck in improving the overall sound of my system. The next question is which to upgrade next. The amp or the front mains and center. I'll leave that debate for another day! Kaz-man, Hope you get your 110 soon!

Awesome! Yeah I heard that pbk-1 does a good job at tuning. The store is just gonna let me borrow theirs. Still no sub though on my end I'm not sure if it left yet, I called them again and they're going to find out if that truck ever left. Somewhat of a bummer, but I got patience.

I was told I had to buy the PBK as each disc is associated with the sub and can't be used on another sub. Seems like a crock as there must be a way around this. Anyway I bought mine ($200.) Hope the 110 comes soon!

I have a 46" XBR 5 (2 yrs old) and I was wondering what happened to yours. I love mine and have had many positive comments on the picture. The reason I bought it was because reviews and stores told me it had much fewer repair issues.

I haven't had any problems with my xbr4. I've had it since may 2008. Even the isf tech that calibrated my tv says that the xbr4 & 5 are some of the best looking tv's after calibration to date.

Yeah about the whole association with the disc thing. I don't think it would matter at all. I'm sure the store wouldn't let me borrow it, knowing that it wouldn't work. Who knows, I'll find out when the time comes.

I finally got the seismic 110 in. I gotta tell you, this little thing packs a punch. I can't believe how something this small can hit so low. My whole room shakes!

We are Arcam dealers and our rep says mid-September, as of right now. I'll believe it when I see it, but 3-4 weeks is likely. Will keep y'all posted!
