I dont know if UPS or Fedex ship things that weigh that much. I think the total weight on my sub is 180lbs...I couldnt see the UPS guy bringing that to do the door :) I should be getting mine (my sub) this afternoon. I setup my M-series and hooked them up to my 4310ci....freaking amazing. Puts my old ht to shame. Cant wait to see how the sub will make it sound.

May be .. I dont know ..

No - I said ".... he has helped me carry some heavy things that I ordered online."

Good. I will be receiving my SVS PB12-Plus this afternoon. I installed my surround backs and now 7(.1) sounds great .. I hope the sub will take my experience to "awesome" levels ..

Power Conditioner much?

This will be my 2nd PB-13...the 1st was lost in when my house was struck by lightening:mad:.. So I already know that I love that sub. I will probably run dual subs (PB13 of course) in the near future. As far as the rest of my ht, that was also destroyed. So I ordered the SVS M-series (Towers, center and bookshelves). My reciever is the Denon 4310ci. I should have my entire ht setup by thursday, march 18 :) It's like Christmas all over again.
Patrukas777, what kind of power conditioner will you be getting?

So..did you get it yet? Tell us what you think of it.
Got it. Wow .. wow .. wow ... HUGE. Sounds AWESOME. My Aperion 6T's now look like little guys before this monster. Some tweaking needed to get my desired output but I sense that happening.

-ve WAF. Will try to convince her. Please share some wife friendly ideas to cover this big guy/tips to convince her .. else I am going to be in trouble :))

I am no expert but does it have to weigh 127lb to sound this great?

To sound that great at that price, it pretty much does.

"Cheating" physics gets expensive.

Check out the JL Audio Fathom line as a candidate for keeping the size down (at a cost).

127lbs isnt that bad  definitely worth the sound though. My PB13 is 155lbs :D Put a plant on top of it...I think Croseiv had a plant on his that looked good. Im considering it myself. I really want to get a 2nd one though.

I am not convinced if PB12-Plus is dialed in correct. Sorry to report - but my PB12-Plus experience with Audyssey settings is just AVERAGE (B). SVS recommended to start with Audyssey but I can listen to the sub's position. SVS suggested LFE mode, Phase 0, all PEQ turned left, 20Hz subsonic - but not convinced with it either. LFE+Mains sound better to my ears.

When should I chose to close 1/2 ports? What difference can it make?

People may come with all guns firing at me but in my experience Bose's AdaptIQ was the quickest, easiest way when compared to Audyssey. I dont have good experience with Audyssey. Once it set my sub level to -12dB!!

Did you get a sound level meter with the Aperions? (If you order 5 speakers at once you get one free)
If you got one, and you haven't already, do the channel leveling between all the speakers manually to double check the Audyssey settings.

I believe closing the ports is personal preference, it will change how low the sub will go and at what volumes depending on how you do the ports (SVS should have documentation about that either with the sub or online). It's right on the product page on their website.

Not sure if anyone answered this yet, but yes, send the full bandwidth to the 6T's, they'll be able to handle stuff below 40hz fine.

Yes, I have Aperions SPL. I did calibration @75 at my normal listening position. Looks like my room is giving problems not just the sub/avr/material?? Audyssey is just not right .. last night I did the calibration and it put sub at -7.5dB at 40% gain. It also set crossovers of surrounds to 60Hz (2x5DB's as SMALL) and treated 2x6T's, 1x6C as LARGE (hence no crossover).

SVS suggests LFE only to utilize Sub to its fullest extent but having used LFE+Mains for long time, it takes some time to adjust for this new sound??
