Dare I ask what speakers are being used?

These I think.

(insert one of many humorous comments here)

Ok, thats not really fair. We say it around here all the time that if a person likes the speaker, thats all that matters. Although, I do feel that the bottleneck ain't in the rest of the gear.

yep those are my fronts, i have surrounds and a center from the same line as well, they are good speakers for the price, they have good bass, good highs, and they dont boom on one or two notes or octaves like many cheap speakers tend to do, sure they dont sound as good as some higher end speakers, but they definitly are impressive for their price. those were bought on a budget for an entry level system, i plan on sometime in the future replacing the speakers with the impression series from emp-tek though.

start on the bottom and move up ya know.

Have you even heard the EMPs? Kind of hard to decide that you want to upgrade to something that you don't even know if you like.

no i have read the reviews and several people have recommended them to me because of my budget, they are in my price range its not exactly possible to listen to them considering there is no physical store that sells them.
