Room zone and timing issues

I am questioning the feasibility of setting up the zone/multi-room feature.
Most often, I expect to be listening to the same source in an adjacent room.
It would be annoying if the timing is off between the two rooms.

In the primary room, I use bass management which involves the delay of the DAC. Will the second room see the same delay, or will it be out of synch?

This is using a Marantz SR6001,

TIA

Running through the same receiver I have not seen a delay. Thata was from Denon, Onkyo and Pioneer. I have not owned a Marantz.

With my new setup using a separate receiver for my other zones there is a significant delay between the theater and the rest of the house.

Thanks! Perhaps the receiver applies the same delay just for this reason.:)

My post was based on my experience listening to the radio. On Saturdays, if we are around the house, my wife and I enjoy listening to CarTalk. We turn on radios throughout the house so we can listen as we go about our business.

When I include the Marantz the sound between rooms includes "late hits" from any the DAC process. It's not too bad for talk, but really sucks for music.

I'll go ahead and see what happens (I don't have an easy setup for switching the cables around, so appreciate knowing I am not stepping into certain FUBAR!)

Are you just using bass management or are you applying some sort of matrixing when listening to music? For me, unless I run in some sort of stereo mix, either 2 or 5 channel, there is a huge delay with an SC-07.

Just bass management for now. However, I know the bass management causes delay since when listening to FM, there is a delay compared to a simple portable radio in the next room.
