Yeah. My remote took over for 7 remotes. (It controls two systems.) RFS200 combo pack has been $75-85 at Amazon for a number of years now.

$200?

I can't afford that!:D
Common Man with all the gear you have I can't believe you don't have some kind of remote solution.

I would say all of your gear can be controlled by one of the HTPC's. If you like the keyboard so much you could get an app to run the receiver and BD player via ethernet or RS232.

I am redoing all my control systems now where everything will be RF and then RS232 to control my gear. No more @#$%^ IR. All my sources will be run out of the theater to 4 zones + the theater.:D

Oh, geez, that's gotta be at least $500.

Well, one thing at a time, boys.

The next thing on my list is the Denon AVP-A1HDCI.

Until then, I can't spend another dime.:D

Remote $999, accessories $600, then you can take and shove all that gear in its own little room and sit back and enjoy. $1500 for the level of control is pretty reasonable :)

I happened to stop into my local AV dealer to see if he had any USB-Serial cables and he just started to carry the Prodigy level of Crestron. I only had 15min because I had to take my kid to her dance class. It looked to use zigbee for lighting control and an IP based system for control and programming. Looked cool and the graphics were very nice but I'm sure it comes at a premium.

Its their more affordable solution. IP is truly the way to go for whole home automation. The nice thing with Crestron is even with zigbee your not locked into one of their panels as a remote(but if you can afford the system:eek:) AMX just yanked 700 dealers in the US trying to rebrand:mad:
