HDTV and Full HD TV

Hi guys.

Is there a difference between HDTV and a Full HD TV? I am thinking of getting a Panasonic Viera S1 series 65 inch TV. Is this a HDTV or Full HD TV? Sorry for the ignorance.

When the marketers say full HD the refer to 1080p. I guess that 4k will be super full HD The s1 is nice display, go for it
