Talk Talk "The Party's Over" on vinyl
The DeadWeather "Horehouse"on CD
Alice In Chains "Black Gives Way To Blue" on CD
The Von Bondies "Love Hate & THen There's You" on CD. I have the vinyl version (it came with both formats) but they really messed up the recording of the vinyl version. Stick with the CD format on this one.

The first Led Zeppelin album. I hadn't listened to them for quite a while, then I pulled IV and was amazed at both how much I liked the music and the outstanding audio quality, so I went back further in the archives and found the first album...also better sound quality than anything being done now.

That was a very well recorded album and it was that album that opened me up to the world of rock having only previouly been exposed to classical music only.
