Guys, Right now I am running a 30 foot RCA to connect my sub. It is a really cheap cable. Will I notice any difference by purchasing a better cable?

What kind of cable is it? RG6/59? (cable TV type cable) or is it RCA? Do you hear any issues with the sound or does it sound OK? If you don't notice anything with the sound, I would say no you won't get an improvement.

It's a REALLLLY thin RCA cable.. And it's probably closer to 45 feet now that I think about it..I don't have much to compare it too.. It seems OK.. I was just wondering if going to a better cable and a shorter lead it would be more appropriate.

If I do will I need to change any settings in my receiver?

I went all out on mine and got the comp cable, that way when I split them, I got 3 cables for the price of one.

No, just one.

Then no you only need the one cable and adding more than one or adding a splitter will not make any difference.
