The BDP-80 doesn't have wifi, a feature Hittdog specified. Sony has a wi-fi Blu-ray player, but it's not as good as the PS3. Samsung has one, it's pretty good, but it costs as much as a PS3. LG has a good one with wi-fi, again, almost as much as the PS3. Those are the only ones I know of with wi-fi, and none of them are as flexible as the PS3. (the Samsung and LG players support .mkv over flash. the LG BD-390 is the only player I know to support NTFS over flash as well as handling .mkv, a nice feature). I still think the PS3 is the best choice and it's a great Blu-ray player, DVD player, and media host.
