Alien Anthology coming to BD

A recent promotional Blu-ray flyer from 20th Century Fox prominently features H.R.Giger's creature jumping menacingly at the reader, atop the caption "Alien Anthology Coming to Blu-ray Christmas 2010." The specific use of the word "Anthology" raises the possibility that this BD collection could include not only the "Quadrilogy" movies, but also Alien vs. Predator and Aliens vs. Predator Requiem.

I can't wait for the Quadrilogy to hit BD as well.

I won't lose sleep if AVP isn't included as both films were kind of a disappointment for me.

I am not a fan of the new SW at all, but the original 3 are among my favorite movies.

I liked all 4 Alien movies. Many didn't like 3, but I thought it was quite good and followed the concept better than 2 (even though 2 is probably the best), and 4, though flawed, was still entertaining.

When they do release star wars, it will inevitably be the messed up versions with all the new special effects, plus greedo shooting first. I am not excited to see that. I am much more eager to see the alien movies on BD.

I had SW Ep 4, 5, 6 on VHS, then LaserDisc, and then DVD. And then Lucas decided to screw up my whole image of SW.

Lucas needs give it up and just let someone else smarter REMAKE all six episodes.

I think the original Ep 4, 5, & 6 were great, but they just look extremely outdated. They deserve an awesome remake.

And the newer Ep 1, 2, & 3 were pure crap because Lucas thinks that we just want to see computer animated aliens or something. Plus the acting was horrible for the most part.

I would pay to see them again remade.

Yeah but the Pod Race scene is absolutely amazing in HD-Audio - extremely dynamic, and will certainly show off a great system for sure.... Just watched it again the other night and it still blows me away...

Glad they decided to also include the Extended Directors version (which explained alot that the Theatrical version left out) like

1. How the Aliens found the base camp
2. Why Ripley was so attached to that little girl
3. Why the Aliens were attacking from one side of the camp and not the other.

Seriously if you have not seen the Extended version which has like 17 added minutes you are missing out on alot. I can only hope that they will sell these individually because I have no intention on wasting my money on Aliens 3 or that piss poor 4
