Lang Lang?

Anybody ever heard of this guy? I just read an artical about him. He's a classical pianist from China, who just signed a big contract with Sony Classical. There's a lot of hype surrounding him, from what I gather. I've never heard of him before. Is he good?

He's fast. Purists don't seem to like him. I think they'd enjoy him more if they closed there eyes..lol..I saw him with Herbie Hancock at the Hollywood Bowl. He's the real deal.

I've seen him for the first time on blu " Live in Tuscany " as one of Andreas Bocelli special guests and the two pieces he performed there were nothing short of fantastic in my humble opinion. Looking forward to see more of him in the future.

I'm not a purist by any stretch, but had the same observation. His technical skills are beyond mere mortals, but I think his interpretations are fairly rote. Fortunately someone of his talents has room to develop and the sky's the limit for this guy.
