Very impressed so far I just threw one plug in and running the 16hz tune gain at half way and havent even pullrd my spl meter out and just playing some music and it blends really well. I'll be dialing it tomorrow though and checking out some movies but it really blends nice with just music the room sounds like its more full and even . I might of got lucky with its placement, so far so good my room likes it and so far his big brother is playing nice with him :)

Looks good, and congrats there Factor. I'm surprised you put it where you did though with the room you have on your front stage. It is very nearly as large as the Ultra. I think that is the first time I've seen the two subs side by side.

I really havent played any movies yet or calibrated with the Ultra just a quick plug 15hz tune with the gain at half and listened to some music and it sounded good with Ultra, I wasnt at reference levels or even close but it sounded good, What I really noticed is the bass/lfe seemed to fill my room more instead of just in the main seating area. I think I might of got lucky with placement and the room likes it. If I have time tonight I'm going to do just a quick spl reading on both subs and try to match them up . I promice Mike my next investment will be a eq "maybe" :D

Thanks :) I was suprised to as far as the box being close in size it is smaller though and the driver looks smaller to but guess because it is lol but it looks like its built very strong. Very impressed with the way the driver looks . Actually I really dont have room to put both subs even in the front because that left speaker is next to wall and I cant shift the display and everything to right to make room because i'll start ending up in the kitchen area and theres a big butcher top table in the center of the kitchen 2 or 3ft from the couch . I was going to stack them but thought i'd try the easier way first since I was beat from carrying it upstairs by myself but it actualy sounds pretty good were its at and the room appears to like it. But i'll no more by the weekend when im done dialing and can watch a few movies. I cant wait :D

Interesting , I just turned my phase on my Ultra to 90 and picked up 5 db compared to 0 phase before on ultra running with my plus . Im guessing I better turn my avr level down a little because I must be pretty hot because with my single Ultra I set it at 2 db hot already so with my duals thats 7 db hot . This is a learning process for sure running duals but I like it :D

Ok I think I nailed IT first shot at least with some cd's I put on some R&B with good bass and it sounds good :D Fills the whole room with nice even bass. I went with gain matching with the subs, solo and then together and did my final adjustment with the AVR sub level. It seems I have to run my gain on my Ultra even less then before .Im guessing there at around 8:00 position and then had to drop the AVR sub level from -.01 to -4.5 and im still 3 or4db hot  Might have to tone it down a little but it sounds good nice and full, along with being pretty even threw out room, nice slam and there not even working hard. Ok next test a movie, hopefully tonight if I have time. So far im very excited with results !!

I just finished the opening scenes of transformers 2 and it was a success the subs are working well together, I had it at -15 on my avr master and the whole room was shaking violently . With duals it takes a lot less effort now or should say less volume and it hits hard . Just By adding the plus to my setup its scary . I mean it was great before but wow like I said im getting bass at lower volume levels and more full sounding and cranking it up a little is just amazing, Im pretty happy :D I think I just got lucky with my HT room area AND JUST Gain matched my subs with my spl meter then ran both and dropped them down 6 db because of increase. Had to set my phase at 90 on my Ultra and left my plus at 0 and it sounds pretty solid ! It was a success im pretty pumped : )

That's awesome, I'm glad it worked out for you, I wish I could come over and see the opening scene from Transformers 2 on you setup.

Thanks im pretty happy it worked out I was a little nervous about if they would work good together since they werent matching subs but wow they really compliment each other. Again it was a lot of luck involved setting them up I mean I know the basics but if it would of got tricky I might of had problems. I wish you could of demoed the opening scene to on Transformers 2:eek: I ended up staying up later than I should of and finished half of the movie. There was scene's that were just incredible :D

I know, I was playing that first chapter of both Transformers movies the other day after I installed the new video card in my HTPC so I could bitstream the TrueHD and DTS-HD MA, it just sounds so good, both of those discs are reference material for picture and sound.
