Watched this movie in my media room yesterday. The sound was GREAT, I was blown out of my seat.

I would honestly call this movie a 6.5 out of 10, but I grade pretty hard.

The story was decent, the special effects were a little better than decent, the acting was enough to not annoy me and the sound was phenomenal.

I will buy this movie just based on the sound quality alone.

Looked kind of mindless, but sometime that is OK. I just got it from netflix and will be watching it over the weekend.

I've watched it in theater. I tought the movie was really bad, but the sound on the BD is suppose to be mindblowing.

I guess I'll have to watch it again anyway ;)

It would not play on my 83SE. It froze twice. Popped it into the PS3 and it was OK. Not a great flick, but not a terrible one. Worth a rent, and yes the sound is very good.

I too agree with the rest who say the movie was decent at best, and the sound was excellent.

It wouldn't play in your 83SE? Does your 83SE have the latest firmware?

Yes, I have the 1224 firmware installed. Sent an email to Oppo to see what they say.

The movie was actually better than I expected, but still typical action fare. As far as action movies go, the acting wasn't bad. It was entertaining. Video quality was very good the majority of the time as well.

Oppo responded and said to clear the player's onboard memory, reload the 1224 firmware, do a factory reset and then give it a try. It was netflixed so I already sent it back, just wanted them to be aware. They said there were a number of reports about this disc to them and that the steps above seem to have solved it for others.

Wow, that's a bit dissapointing for such an AWESOME Bluray player... but I guess it happens...

Even they knew it sucked so they only made it run like an hour and 20 minutes.

I wish I had rented something else and so will you. ;)

EDIT: oops ... 95 minutes according to Netflix. Still ... not worth a viewing.
