i'll get some more food pics later ... here's a traditional japanese wedding for you Phil. although the bride's kimono is non-traditionally colored black instead of white/or some other color, i wasn't paying much attention to the tour guide.

Thanks for the pics Mike. I bet you had a great time seeing all the culture. Feel free to post more. One day, I hope to visit Japan myself. :);):)

major, you seem to be doing that with every picture! is that your job?

i should be a little more careful posting pics, my assassin friends might not appreciate their pics on the web.

Did you note the picture above with his wife?
She was keeping track of what he was taking pictures of.

"But honey, I'm just taking pictures of food."

I see you did a quick hazing of the image.
Hopefully the Yakuza hit squads won't come looking for you.

My wife speaks Japanese and has several friends in Japan.

Look what they sent us! A Takoyaki maker. Traditionally it is a batter that you put various fixings into. Traditionally it is Octopus. But almost anything is game. For instance we do pancake batter:

Next I am going to try making mini-omlettes.

when my brother visited japan during summer (as in really hot weather), he said all the girls were in a competition to see who could wear the least. :p

of course, no pics as well, he was also with his wife.

honestly though, i didn't see a single chick looking like the girls in the pics from the other thread. basically not worth getting my *** kicked :D

i fear the wife more than the yakuza. :D

oh, i wish i had tried their takoyaki's. i guess, it'd be added to my japan "bucket list" ... the more on my list, the more reasons i have to go back to japan.

Matsuzaka beef (same as Kobe i think, except from a different place)

this one just melts in your mouth like pork fat. i think i prefer the "standard" steak below
(sorry focused on the plate in front)

view from our hotel room
(first try with long exposure)

just like London ... left is right, right is wrong.

there's a reason they call it driving on the wrong side of the road.

To both John and Dave, I could not agree with you guys any more. The old thread made me very hungry and this one with all the food does as well. However, the old thread did not have a lot of food pics.....LOL!!!!:eek::eek:

Cheers,

Phil
