I finally have this "search for perfect sound" figured out. We have been going at it all wrong.

I have been playing around a lot with Pandora and although I hate Rap, I have been checking some out lately.

My conclusion is we have just been playing the wrong type of music- so we have to continually "chase" the sound by purchasing more and more, high end gear.

Just switch over to Rap and turn it loud. I am totally convinced that Cerwin Vegas are the speakers to go with.

At first you will not enjoy your new music but learn to bob your head like they do on "A Night at the Roxbury" and before you know it, you will be smiling from ear to ear and having a blast.

The elusive "NO MEAT" version Cerwin-Veg:

To be totally honest, they don't sound that bad.

I love strong R&B, Rap, and Hip hop. My strata minis really shine on ballads and slow jams but strongly lack on Rap because I can't use the built in 8" subs built into each speaker due to being in an apartment.

My old KRK Rokits rocked my room. Sometimes there is no subsitute for ear bleeding bass.

My preferred everyday music though is jazz/jazz piano and vocals.

I like your choice of speakers. Too bad we'll never see matching surounds & center.

Switch to gold or platinum teeth and in-room resonances will decrease dramatically.

Don't forget the excessive pants sagging and crotch grabbing, doing so will gain you an extra 3db.
