Im looking for speaker stands. Someone here suggested monoprice.com for my wire needs and it was excellent and cheap. Anyone suggest a website for good, cheap 42" minimum speaker stands? I really need some ASAP

AudioAdviser has some nice stands for 29 bucks/pair right now.

I usually use Rack and Satnds for all my stuff but the AA deal is too good to pass up.

Make your own, cheapest way. I made 7 for about 12 bucks a piece with 1x12, 1x8 and 1x3 birch from home depot. You can have HD cut them to size. Basically, make a 1x12x12, center a 1x8x8 on it, (those 2 pieces make the base), then cut the 1x3 to whatever height you want for the legs and attach, then another 1x8x8 for the top and bingo, cheap speaker stands. The stands in the pic are 26" tall.

I second the AudioAdviser.com suggestion. They have great prices and service and very fast shipping. I just got my Sanus component rack system in one day after ordering!

Sanus also makes some decent speaker stands for under $50. I don't think you could do much better, unless you make your own.

If you want all metal stands, it will set you back considerable more.

The Sanus stands are a bit wobbly if you have larger speakers and don't perfectly balance them. They're pretty good otherwise but no where near as sturdy as the ones I made (which coincidently look a lot like ragged's).

I bought Sanus 24" stands (sold in pairs) on Amazon at great deal - they are quite strudy and holding my tSc TSB surrounds quite nicely
