I would like your input on my future purchase of a tv stand and component rack. These two pieces are my first choices but i do what someone your option about this purchase. The component rack is really for future toys. I just want to purchase them the same time is all.
Thanks,
PB
I apologize in advance if I am coming out of left field, and that my proposed idea is completely useless to you.
How about a $50 Monoprice wall mount for the TV. Another $50 for a 35 ft HDMI cable from the same retailer. Or less in length. $80 for a URC RF200 remote system, with blaster, and emitters. So far that totals just $180. Just get that Sanus rack, or a rack like Studio Tech modular that I use.
Then you can enjoy:
- a super clean look, since no electronics need to be in sight
- enjoy superior visual contrast, and better immersion, since there are no unnecessary lights
- have the space/ability to use a third identical speaker, vertically arrayed, as center speaker (this is by far the biggest advantage)
- no large resonant, diffracting, reflecting mass between and touching your speakers.
I shoot out the above every once in a while, and do so again here, just in the case that this is both actually possible, and that you haven't yet considered it.
If I were to setup my main HT using a flat panel, the above is exactly what I would aim to do, if possible. My best, and good luck.
