It seems that Bonfire of the Vanities will be released February 25th. I have heard that Battle for Forli was like an hour long was it really that short?
Yes, that is about how long it took unfortunately. It was some HUGE fights compared to the main game though, like 30-40 guys all fighting around you at once like the first game

Odd, when I looked up Bonfire on IGN, it came back with Forli, but the two story lines are related. As I mentioned earlier, the monk is a central character in the Forli story and I didn't want to give it away as it clearly leads into Bonfire:

Bonfire of the Vanities is the latter of two downloadable contents announced by Ubisoft, and is planned to be released on February 25, 2010. Costing $4.99/£3.09, the DLC will open up the southern quarter of Florence previously sealed off and revolves around the monk Savonarola, who is controlling the city in absence of the Medici. Using the Piece of Eden; which he stole from a critically wounded Ezio Auditore after his confrontation with Checco Orsi, Savonarola was able to control the city’s nine most influential citizens, and use them for his own means.
They better not have a 2 pack for this at a discount...

Anyone try Bonfire yet? It came out yesterday - in two flavors. One just Bonfire and the second has some additional content that came in the Collector's edition. The one with the CE stuff is $5 more than Bonfire alone and wondering if it is worth it.

When I checked last night, they had dropped the prices to $3.99 and $6.99, so I bought Bonfire with the extras. MUCH longer than Battle of Forli already and it adds the springboard which you can use to jump twice as far when available.

This one is more like the events in the original game - much more time and effort required to complete the chapter. 1 "escort" detail (which was more difficult than any in the game), 9 assassinations just to get to the primary objective, and new view points to scout. I haven't gone after the final target yet, but this one was more worth the price it compared to Forli.

The new springboard functionality is a bit tougher than other moves as your timing needs to be quite good to get it to work, otherwise you just end up flying off the building...
