Do Monster Power Centers cut down on voltage? I have 3 Monster centres and a Richard Gray centre as well as Belkin Centre. The Richard Gray documentation claims to not sacrifice power. Do the Monster centres sacrifice some power in an attempt to provide surge protection?
Thanks

There is no such thing as a 100% efficient electronic device. If the Monster uses any power, it really shouldn't be a problem, since the line voltage measures high in most areas of the country. Unless it's a regulator, it would have to allow line voltage sag (brownout) but it may have some means of tempering any positive variations in voltage.
What do you hope these will do? Major surges are best eliminated at the point of entry, which is at the breaker panel, not far from it. Spending thousands on surge protection is a waste, IMO. If you want to spend that much, you could buy a dedicated generator/energy management system and filter the signal. That way, it's all done in one place and the current sent to the equipment will be very clean.
