Hey gang I need a little bit of advice here back in November I ask you guy's for some advice on choosing between SVS and Ascends,I'm going with SVS so now almost 3 months later I need your help once more. In November I was going with the SCS-01 package now I'm not so sure, I have been looking at STS package. My question is should I stick with the SCS-01's or go with the STS-01's I would like to go with the one that would best fit this room size. L 14' W 7'.2" at the front, 6'.1" middle and 7'.2" back H 9' with these measurement is it possible for the STS's to work well in this room or should I stick with the SCS-01's. Here is a list of the following gear that I will be using.

TV: 46" Toshiba 46xv545u
Receiver: Pioneer vsx-21txh (will be purchased at the same time as speakers)
PS3 40GB (with 500GB HDD)

I will be making these purchases in the 2nd week of February, So any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Sub will be the PC12-NSD.

Have you checked out the offerings from Emotiva?
Thank you for the suggestion but I am looking into the SVS line the 2 models which I have listed and trying to find which one would be better in this room, I was all set to get the SCS-01's then I took a look at the STS-01's and I like the towers, but I'm not sure if it would be best for this room.

Honestly, in a room that small I would go with the smaller/cheaper of the options. On the other hand, buying big now will save you from having to upgrade in the future if/when you have a larger room. It boils down to what you want to spend.

The budget for a 5.1 setup is $2300

That is an extremely narrow room. Personally, I would get the best pair of speakers I could, and throw the rest at acoustic treatments. JMO.

How many feet will you be from the front wall?

If sidewalls are left untreated with a stereo system, the best sounding speakers will be those with the best off-axis response, as the reflections will be much more similar to polar response. Offaxis is something Ascends are good at, so if you don't mind, may I ask why you crossed them off the list?

E-mail the guys @ SVS your room dimensions & ask them what they think.

Ascends are nice but they didn't do so well with movies as did the SVS's since my setup will be 50/50 music/movies IMO.
if the speaker distance is 6-8 feet if I take the Minimum of 6' I will be 1'2" away from the side wall. as for the front wall about 5-6 inches.

I sent an email to Jack over at SVS and he recommend going with SBS-01's with the PB10-NSD for this room I would change the sub to either a PC12-NSD or PC12-Plus because I'm a bass junkie. I sent one more email to Jack to ask if the setup he recommend would work in a room this size 11'x15'x9' just in case if I have to move from the room I'm in to my daughter's room in the future. Just waiting to hear back from him.

Well I got an email from Jack this morning.

That's about ~1500 ft^3, so you’re still in a good size for that system. You can always add another PB10 down the road is you like serious levels of bass. :)

So even if I change to the larger room I will still be in good shape which is good news. So now I am wondering if I should go with one larger sub like PC12-NSD - PC12-Plus or should I go with the 2 PB10's. What do you guys think?

Don't mean to sound funny but there is no much thing as too much sub :) (although there are boomy subs or lazy/sloppy/bad sounding subs) Buy the best sub you can afford

All 3 of these options are within my budget,Should I go with one of the PC models or should I go with the 2 PB10's, which would be best in this situation?
