Hi all, quick question. Room size is 12 x 19 x 8, 80% HT/Gaming 20% Music, I am in Canada so narrowed it down to the following...

SVS SB12-Plus, SVS PB10-NSD, SVS PB12-NSD.

I like the small size of the SB12-Plus but really want the lows for movies :)

I can't afford the bigger boys :(

Which of these three only would you choose?

Thx

Well, I think you already have the answer ;), but let me confuse a bit more:
Can you get eD sub like this one:

18Hz Extension is not something you'll typically find on sub in this price range..
Yes, I have seen good reviews on this sub but the shipping costs/exchange/ is ugly to Canada so I have chosen SVS as they have Canadian distribution so somewhat painless for ordering/shipping.

Would I be sacrificing sound quality by choosing the SB-12 Plus over the PB10-NSD or the PB12-NSD? or is the SB-12 every bit as good

Your room, roughly 1800cf - it's only a bit over small sized room, so SB12-Plus might work out fine for you, and the extra bass extension PB12-NSD you'll miss on SB12-Plus will be well compensated with more controls/room eq and more powerful amp.

If making the furniture shake a floor or two up is how you define a sub's worth then a single SB12-Plus is not for you. On the other hand, if you're listening tends to be done in a small room or a system the size of the aforementioned PB12-Plus/2 just isn't going to happen because the SAF heads into the cold zone at the mere mention of a box big enough to house Fido, then the SB12-Plus is an obvious way to go.

Where the SB12-Plus keeps up with its much larger siblings is the flat response, quality design & build and a comprehensive set of built-in processors. One advantage of its small size is how well it lends itself to multiple-sub setups - an approach for which there are some definite sonic advantages.

Thank-you! Let's put it this way... I have a 8" yamaha 75watt sub right now so anything will be a large improvement :D so for my size room either would work really well and sound good but the PB12-NSD will blow me off the chair when I want it to, but the SB12-Plus probably would not have that capability?

Will probably blow you off the chair :D , neither SB12 or PB12 could, but jokes aside for HT usage, the latter can provide a bit more tactical response and annoy the hell out of the neighbors ( lower sound frequencies travel much further

Would not want to annoy the neighbor too much... he is a hunter and kinda shady looking:eek:

But then again a little booming now and then shouldn't hurt:D

Thanks so much!

Have ya looked at the Axiom EP350 ?
Yes, I did actually, when researching in this forum a few have commented that it was not as good as the SVS or others due to old technology. But, I am not sure so if anyone has the EP350 please jump in and let us know how good it is :)
