I rented the BD of this movie last night and was VERY pleasantly surprised. This movie was funny as hell. The plot was good, the voice acting was great, and of course it looked and sounded spectacular. Andy Samberg, Mr. T and the monkey cracked me up. I found myself rewinding quite a few parts to laugh over and over.

I highly recommend this movie.

Have to disagree with you on this one....
Check out Fantastic Mr Fox - much better animated feature.

I haven't seen Fantastic Mr. Fox, but sorry I have no desire to see a movie with old-school "try not to get distracted by the fur moving around on the figures" stop motion animation, when there are movies out there in crystal clear CGI.

Nothing wrong with stop motion. In most cases it looks better than CGI to me - not the least of which: Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, easily have some of the best video presentations I've seen.

This one just looked OK to me, but then so did Monsters Vs. Aliens and that one ended up being decent.

Your darn tootin. When done correctly it is superior to CGI. Plenty of examples too like the ones you mentioned. Don't forget James and the Giant Peach. I thought Cloudy was OK but not great. I like some others much better. I loved Kung Fu Panda and Ratatouille.

Was going to mention that one but it isn't on BD yet. I wonder why? Probably not one that sells as well as the others. Corpse Bride is still probably the best looking BD video wise that I've seen, but Ratatouille is also pretty much flawless.

Have seen Meatballs twice in the last 2 days, once with my older brother then with 2 couples. I/we enjoyed very much and thinking of watching it again before sending it back to Netflix. Thought it was very funny, and I didn't really ever feel I was watching a kids movie.

I ended up watching it 3 times then a 4th with the commentary and all the extras, all in little over a week! I think it was pretty darn good and funny. This review from Rotten Tomatoes summed it up for me pretty well, "It occurs to me that the pace and tone of the comedy is actually pretty sophisticated -- perhaps too much so for its supposed intended audience."

:)
