Hi.

In reflect to Samsung not issuing their new 7,8 or 9-series LED-displays with HDMI 1.4, how are the displays going to be able to support 3D?

Will it be in 1080i ?

Because as I understand it HDMI 1.3 are not able to support sending two simultanious video-streams in 1080p. For that the specs on the standard is too small.

So how are they going to support 3D with HDMI 1.3?

Anyone with knowledge on this matter?

Thanx.

So my suspicion are correct, it will not be possible to run 3D in Full-HD on HDMI 1.3.
I do not agree with the article that there isn`t too much difference between DVD and Blu-Ray. I believe that the differences are huge.

Strange that Samsung are releasing new displays to support 3D, but not in Full HD. That can`t run in their favor...

Samsung's LED 9000 will have 1.4 HDMI as far as the other can't find any info on them.

Good point! I mean, it certainly hasn't worked at all for people going to movie theaters because they all have to wear those silly glasses!

Not trying to be a jerk, but when you have a fundamental flaw with your arguement kicking you in the shins, then it's a weak one to use.

If 3D, utilizing this new version of the tech, matches Avatar theater quality, then it's a long way from being loose, a loser, or anything else you want to spell. ;)

Seriously, people may not jump on the tech, but if it works well and the sports stuff is implemented properly, then it is possible it will really do far better than some expect.

But, it's still 3-5 years off for any idea on this. The debut year with limited, and somewhat pricey, product is not the year anyone will know.

Well they had better make prescription funny glasses. I refuse to wear two pairs at once!
