If you can find one now; they go for about $400.
Or the it's successor the SR507 is also $400.
This is a difficult one Rick.
On the one hand if the problem is just replacing the speaker sockets, he should come out below $200 I would think.
On the other hand the thing has been dropped and now messed about by someone who does not know how to get the job done. So it might end up having cracked circuit boards and or blown output devices.
What would you suggest?
If he buys new, he knows his cost, but we recycle more electronic junk. We all know it is not recycled but moved to parts of the world where we don't see the havoc.
If he takes it in for repair he has thrown the dice.
Whatever his decision he needs a much more stable installation before switching on a repaired or new unit.
