I can't wait to see the reviews on this model, forget the whole 3D thing for a minute according to the article this model is suppose to offer the deepest blacks ever seen on a plasma, and a refresh rate option of 96Hz.

Now wy can't they put a 96hz rate on their g20/25 line!! It kind of makes me made that I have to buy a top of the line tv with extra features I don't need nor want just to watch a blu-ray with no flicker.

Real world use of 3D is 3 to 4 years away. I would rather see 21:9 aspect ratio televisions.

uhmmm very interesting that 21;9 aspect ratio...oh well another updraditis??...why will the new 2010 panny's not be in 21;9 aspect ratio??...people will buy their new 2010 series of hdtv's and then next year they will announce that they now produce 21;9 aspect ration hdtv's...that is ridiculous..
Marketing, plain and simple. Don't be fooled into thinking that these companies are giving you what you want when you want it, rather they are carefully calculating market strategies with the assumption that many people out there are always going to want the latest and greatest there is. They are in business to make money - we as consumers are playing the game because we want the nice toys. Personally I think the 21:9 TV's may end up being a niche market - they're great for people who only primarily watch movies say on blu-ray (and most DVD's) where the original film's aspect ratio is pretty much left intact. This obviously eliminates the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, but one has to also consider regular television programming, with respect to the numerous HD channels out now, are all framed for optimal 16:9, so on this TV you're going to end up with black bars on either side while watching regular HD programming. The cool thing about this though, and I think that Vizio had the foresight going into this, is the ability to stack widgets and other useful icons on either side in the letterbox area, so at least that screen space is being put to some kind of use, rather than being wasted.

Either way, I'm interested to see both the new Panny VT-25's and the 21:9 Vizio's when they become available. HDTV technology is definitely taking some interesting turns these days.

So guys, what's in it for "Real 3D"? Is it gonna be the next format or it's gonna crash and burn? Shoudn't the "4K" resolution come first, especially if we want to have 3D on big screens?

Personnaly, I don't see the point of watching a 3D content on a 37" screen. But on a 120" I bet it could be nice :D

What do you think?

4k is here, just doesnt make sense to put it in a 60" display  More screen sizes over 80" will be comming and at a somewhat affordable price.
